Sam is a young artist based in Utah. He is an advocate of adventure, spontaneity, and spirituality. You can find him rock climbing, skiing, hiking, painting, and singing hymns. His art can be thought of as visual hymns – works that invoke feelings of awe and appreciation. Art has been an inseparable part of his life. Even at a young age, it was obvious that he excelled artistically. In Junior High, he was given the Visual Arts Award for his school. He was also invited to an exclusive student exhibition where all his work sold. In high school, he was again invited to an exclusive student showcase. After examining his work, his painting teacher encouraged him to consider taking AP Studio Art. Sam continues to pursue his passion today. Even though he’s had many years behind his craft, Sam would say he’s still trying to find the curiosity he felt as a kid. As you view his art, you get a chance to reconnect with those child-like feelings of awe, wonder, and amazement.
